TRAVIS BOWMAN

Travis Bowman is an acoustic guitarist/harp guitarist from Little Rock, AR. First, heavily influenced by blues guitarist, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Travis turned to fingerstyle after a high-school teacher suggested he learn, “Little Martha” by Duane Allman. From there he found the music of Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, Andy Mckee, Antoine Dufour, Steven Bennett, and Masa Sumide. Travis has won notoriety in national and international guitar competitions such as the Ernie Ball Acoustic Prodigy Competition in 2014, and the Arkansas State Finger-Picking Competition in 2017. Travis placed fourth in the Winfield International Finger-Picking Competition in 2016. In 2015, Travis's EP, “Superhero” was recorded at NRG Studios and produced by viral youtube sensation, Andy Mckee. Bowman’s debut album “Launch” (2016), was recorded at Fret Monkey Record Studios. Travis has shared the stage with renowned guitarists such as Andy Mckee, Ewan Dobson, Craig D'Andrea, Adrian Bellue, Don Alder, Muriel Anderson, Stephen Bennett, Andy Wahlberg, and Tom Shinness.
